How will Equinox Bus Lines be different from existing bus carriers?
Equinox Bus Lines is a family owned and operated Bus Operator. Unlike some of the other companies who are owned by Holding Companies which are held by unrelated investors who are simply looking for profit over service, Equinox Bus Lines factors in the Human element into our operations. Our schedules and stops focus on the people, our riders! |
Air Canada and Porter Airlines offers flights between Toronto and Boston or we have our own car, why have a bus service?
While we know air travel is faster than land vehicles, there is a market for those who don't want the headaches of Airport Security and those whose body can't handle being at high altitudes, even for an hour and half long flight. Also, there are no flight services to Niagara Falls, Ithaca, and Holyoke from Toronto or Boston. What makes travel by bus more appealing than air travel, is the ability to stop in a city centre while most Airports are in the suburbs. When you factor in a ride out of a city centre, check-in, security, loading, unloading and ride in to a city centre, it would equal the same time with bus travel. Airplanes have smaller windows while buses have larger panoramic windows to enjoy the scenery! While car ownership is at an all time high in North America, it contributes to increased congestion on area highways which increases your travel time and potentially causing fatigue and an at-fault accident. Our Drivers are trained to expect the unexpected and deal with traffic on the roadways. |
How much would this service cost and how can I book a seat?
All fares for each trip will start at $4.99 plus a booking fee of $2.50 and will increase as more bookings are made. Passengers who book Toronto as their origin will be quoted and charged in Canadian Dollars while all other stops will be quoted and charge in US Dollars. Our Reservation System vendor will be with Betterez who will manage all transactions securely. Equinox Bus Lines has been using Betterez for its Sightseeing Tours since Summer of 2019 and has gotten positive feedback from our Tour Customers on their booking experience! All boarding passes must be purchased on our website and we do offer paperless option where the boarding pass will be sent as an e-mail for each trip booked. When boarding our bus, the Driver will ask for the 'QR code' and will scan it to make sure your boarding pass is valid for travel. If you forgot your boarding pass or are not tech-savy with emails, simply present a Government Photo ID to the Driver and we'll let you board! |
What amenities will be offered for this service?
Amenities include free on-board Wi-Fi that works in both US and Canada seamlessly. Our Wi-Fi provider also offers content filtering for peace of mind use. We are also in talks with a vendor to offer free on-board streaming of Movies and TV shows similar to what Airlines offer on longer flights! As like Airlines, we will offer a complementary bottle of water. Yes, there is a on-board Lavatory for your convenience! |
